Knowing what to say to your doctor or nurse will help improve your future infusion experiences

For many people with PI, infusing Vivaglobin® is a positive experience. And while infusion problems and side effects may occur, your Vivaglobin® experience will likely continue to improve with each infusion.

Should you experience additional problems with your infusion routine beyond those listed on either the Side Effects page or the Common Infusion Problems page, contact your doctor or nurse to discuss your experience and ensure that your continuing experience with Vivaglobin® is a good one.

The better you can describe your experience with your healthcare professionals, the greater chance they will be able to help you adjust your infusion routine successfully. These following tips may help you:

Offer specifics

  • Describe the problem in detail
  • Tell the doctor if you’ve experienced this problem before
  • Identify whether or not the problem you’re experiencing is listed on the infusion—site reaction page
  • Refer to the Potential Side Effects page to talk about your experience

Provide clarity

  • Tell your healthcare professional if you are experiencing a strong reaction or pain, or if you think you need immediate attention
  • Identify the exact location on your body where you’re experiencing a particular side effect
  • Identify which part of the infusion is the problem—the injection site, the needle, the injection tubing, the pump, or the Vivaglobin® vial
  • Refer to the Potential Side Effects page to talk about your experience
